BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS

The Board of License Commissioners regulates the retail sale of alcoholic beverages in Baltimore County (Code 1957, Art. 2B, sec. 15-112).

In Baltimore County, the Board's three members and two alternates are appointed by the County Executive to two-year terms (Code 1957, Art. 2B, sec. 15-104(e)(f)).

DEPARTMENT OF PERMITS, APPROVALS, & INSPECTIONS

The Department of Permits, Approvals, and Inspections originated as the Department of Permits and Development Management. It reformed under its present name in January 2011. (County Code, Art. 21, secs. 21-1-101 through 21-18-108; Art. 35, secs. 35-1-101 through 35-6-113).
