Final Report to Governor & General Assembly due Dec. 1, 2013.
In July 2011, the Southern Maryland Higher Education Council was established (Chapter 622, Acts of 2011). The Council is to develop a strategy to improve access to higher education for Southern Maryland residents. The Council will examine existing needs for higher education in the region and determine whether those needs are being met. The Council will recommend ways to meet any additional higher education needs, and formulate long- and short-term plans to improve access to higher education in Southern Maryland.
Authorization for the Council ends June 30, 2014 (Chapter 346, Acts of 2013).
