Report to Governor & General Assembly due Dec. 1, 2013 (Chapters 569 & 570, Acts of 2013).

In June 2013, the Commission on the Establishment of a Maryland Educators Service Memorial was authorized (Chapters 569 & 570, Acts of 2013).

The Commission is to identify an appropriate site either within or close to the State Capitol Complex in Annapolis for the Maryland Educators Service Memorial. Estimates on total funding and preliminary design ideas will be considered by the Commission, which then will recommend a location, design, and construction of the Memorial. The Commission will provide ongoing review and recommendations on the funding and construction of the Memorial.

Authorization for the Commission extends through May 31, 2016.
